About Us

Nestled in the mountains of northern Pennsylvania in prime grouse and woodcock country, Rock Steady has been selectively breeding, raising, and training Brittanys for over 25 years. Mark Shoff, owner and trainer for Rock Steady Kennel, has been working with dogs his entire life—from obedience and bird‑dog training to Schutzhund work. Mark’s real passion, however, is training bird dogs. He has always used positive reinforcement as the foundation of his methods and has produced many exceptional Rock Steady gun dogs.
Building on that same commitment to quality and care, we also launched our store to provide products that support the training, comfort, and overall well‑being of companion dogs. Our goal is to offer reliable, thoughtfully selected supplies that help dogs thrive and help owners strengthen the bond they share with their canine partners.
