And the included mount clip slides directly onto the back of your Garmin Astro or Alpha and connects to the ball-tip pedestal. This pedestal can also be removed from the base and used as a quick and convenient windshield mount. All components also accommodate your AstroCover or AlphaCover, so there's no need to remove your cover when mounting your handheld in your vehicle. As an added feature, this Friction Dash Mount also accommodates the DriveTrack 70 or DriveTrack 71. Simply purchase the optional MountClip-DT (sold separately) and you can easily switch between your tracking system handheld and your DriveTrack. Instructions for use Clean the dashboard or mounting surface from dirt, dust, and protectant sprays Tear and remove the protective paper on the underside of the mount Attach the ball-tip pedestal to the smooth surface on the top of the friction base. Press down on the locking mechanism to secure the pedestal in place. Slide the MountClip onto the back of your Astro or Alpha Attach the Mount Clip to the ball-tip mount
